GAS FUMES TAKE LIFE OF YOUTH AT HILLSBORO, KANS.
Hillsboro, Kansas. — A large congregation of friends and former classmates attended funeral services at the M. B. church here Jan. 12 for Sostenes Mireles, 23, former student of Tabor college whose accidental death on Tuesday was the result of gas poisoning.
The youth was overcome in the bathroom at the John A. Flaming residence, where he roomed, and doctors' efforts to revive him by artificial respiration were unsuccessful.
Mr. Mireles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abelardo Mireles of Los Ebanos, Texas, had been working at the local creamery in order to finance further study at Tabor college. The body was sent to Los Ebanos for burial.
