Aged Wellman, Ia. Resident Died

Wellman, Iowa. — Samuel D. Miller, well known resident of this community, died Nov. 26 at the Washington County Home, having reached the age of 87 years and 14 days. He had been ill four years.

A lifelong long resident of Johnson County, Mr. Miller was widely known in his eariler [sic] years as a well driller, saw mill operator, thresher and farmer. In 1930 he retired from the farm and moved to Wellman, where he was associated with his son in the feed mill business.

He leaves his wife, the former Elizabeth Ann Fisher, to whom he was married 63 years ago; one son, Ortis of Wellman; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Parrott of Elida, Ohio; five grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at the Wellman Mennonite Church.
