Services for Retired Minister at Goshen

Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Rev. S. J. Miller, 72, retired Mennonite minister, were held Saturday forenoon at the North Goshen Mennonite Church.

Rev. Miller died unexpectedly Aug. 18 at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stalter in Middlebury. He had suffered a stroke two months earlier.

His active ministry extended over a period of 35 years. He served the Mennonite congregation at White Pigeon, Mich for 18 years and the Leo, Ind. Mennonite Church for 17 years, retiring five years ago. Since then he and Mrs. Miller had resided in Goshen.

Survivors include the widow, four daughters, one son, one brother, one sister, and a number of grandchildren.
