Son of Goshen Faculty Leaders dies in Haiti

Goshen, Ind. — Paul Steven Miller, six and a half month old son of Prof. and Mrs. William F. Miller, Goshen College faculty leaders directing the Study-Service Trimester in Haiti, died unexpectedly on Oct. 16 after a brief illness.

The child was born April 1, 1972, in Goshen, and died at Canape Vert Hospital, Port-au-Prince.

Surviving are the parents, two brothers, Lee Eugene and Neil Robert; two sisters, Jane Marie and Karen Ann, all in Haiti; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ura R. Miller of Smithville, Ohio and Mrs. A. C. Ramseyer of Wooster, Ohio.

The funeral service was at the Conservative Baptist Mission Church of Fermathe on Oct. 18 with Rev. Wallace Turnbull officiating. GC students also took part in the service.

A prayer service on behalf of the family was held on the morning of Oct. 18 in the College Church-Chapel. Harold Bauman, campus pastor, was in charge.
