Sugarcreek, Ohio. — Two Amish young men from rural Arthur, ill. were killed and two companions seriously injured in a one-car accident near Benton in Holmes County on Saturday night, July 6.
Dead are Raymond M. Plank, 23, the driver, and Olen Miller, 19. Simon A. Miller, 21, also of the Arthur community and a cousin of the dead youths, sustained a fractured neck and is in Pomerene Memorial Hospital, Millersburg. Admitted to the same hospital with severe facial and head cuts was Fern Ellen Helmuth, 20, of rural Bremen, Ind.
Officers reported that the rented car went out of control on a curve, clipped two mailboxes, went over a fence into a field and came to rest against a tree.
