Car Crash Kills Ohio Amish Woman

New Haven, Ind. — A one-car crash near here claimed the life of Mrs. Mary Miller, 54, of Hicksville, Ohio on March 15.

Mrs. Miller was riding in an automobile driven by her husband Henry. Suddenly, Mr Miller observed a slow-moving buggy a tenth of a mile west of Harlan. He swerved to avoid a collision, the auto veered off to one side and then crossed the highway and crashed into a tree.

Mr. Miller was admitted to Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne in fair condition.

Funeral services for Mrs. Miller were held March 19 at the Amish Mennonite Church near Harlan, where she was a member before moving to Ohio.
