KATIE BELLE MILLER

Katie Belle Miller, daughter of Emanuel and Margaret (Kefaber) Hostetler, was born in Cass County, Mo. on March16, 1892, died at the Moots Hospital at Pryor, Okla. on June 22, 1957, age 65 years, three months and six days.

She lived with her parents in Cass County, Mo. and later at Harper, Kan. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour, and was baptized and received into the Mennonite Church. Since then she had been deeply interested in the work of the Church and took an active part in the Sunday school and in the sisters sewing circle work.

On Sept. 17, 1916, she was united in marriage to Baldwin F. Miller. A few years later they moved to La Junta, Colo. where they lived for about five years. Then they moved to Pryor, Okla. in which vicinity they resided until death.

On June 15 she suffered a paralytic stroke. She never fully regained consciousness and one week later, on June 22, she quietly passed on to be with her Maker.

Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1952. Surviving are her four sons, Elmer, Lloyd and Eli of Pryor, and Floyd of Culp, Ark.; one daughter, Fern (Mrs. Everette Scheffel) of Pryor, with whom she had made her home since 1952; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Laura (Mrs. R. J. Zook) of Allensville, Pa., Fannie and Cora Hostetler of Harper, Kan. Her parents, four brothers and four sisters, and three half-brothers preceded her in death.

She was a faithful devoted mother in the home and a willing worker in the community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
