FOUR RESIDENTS OF ARTHUR, ILL., MEET DEATH IN HEAD-ON CRASH
Arthur, Ill. — Funeral services were held here on Saturday, Oct. 19, for four victims of a head-on auto accident which took place the preceding Wednesday. The dead are Joseph Miller, 38, his wife Anna, 35, Andrew Diener, 24, and Meador Gray, 21, all of this community. Mrs. Meador Gray, a bride of six weeks, is in the hospital with serious injuries.
Mr. and Mrs. Miller are survived by nine children whose ages range from one and one-half to 17 years.
The tragedy occurred on a highway near here when a car driven by Charles Sander of Arthur met the death car head on. Sander was uninjured. The cars were completely demolished and a wrecker was required to pull them apart.
