Electric Shock Fatal To Young Farmer

FATHER OF 6 CHILDREN KILLED ON FARM NEAR FAYETTE, OHIO

Archbold, Ohio. — Funeral services were held at the Lockport Mennonite church Aug 15 for John V. Miller, 41, who suffered a fatal electric shock at his farm near Fayette the evening of Aug. 11. Officiating ministers were Walter Stuckey, Maynard Wyse, Earl Stucky and Simon Stuckey.

The fatal accident took place while Mr. Miller and Doyle Robinson, 14, of West Unity were storing hay in the barn. Two electric wires were found dangling and sputtering in a puddle of water on the barn floor. When Mr. Miller attempted to move them, he was thrown to the floor and landed face down in the water.

The Robinson youth ran for help, but by the time aid arrived Mr. Miller was dead.

He leaves his wife Viola; six children; his parents, Mr. and mrs. Gideon Miller of Wauseon; three brothers and three sisters.
