Held in Shooting Of Father, 47
LaGrange, Ind. — Twenty-two-year-old Stanley Miller is confined to Norman Beatty Hospital at Westville on an emergency commitment following the fatal shooting of his father, Ervin H. Miller, 47, at the Miller home near Wolcottville.
The young man, who was mentally disturbed, reportedly shot his father in the chest with a shotgun. He was taken into custody by county officers.
Funeral services for the father were held May 15 at the Shore Mennonite Church. The widow, three sons and three daughters survive.
