ELIZABETH C. MILLER

Elizabeth C. Miller, wife of John W. Miller and daughter of Christian and Barbara Miller, was born near Haven, Reno County, Kansas on July 21, 1892, and died at the LaGrange County, Ind. Hospital Nov. 23, 1957, at the age of 65 years, four months and two days.

On Feb. 23, 1911, she was united in marriage with John W. Miller, and to this union were born eleven children, four sons and seven daughters.

In her girlhood days she sought peace for her soul and expressed a desire for Christian fellowship, becoming a member of the Old Order Amish brotherhood and serving her Lord in this fellowship. Later she with her husband transferred membership to the Mennonite church, in which she remained faithful to the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her sudden departure her sorrowing husband; six daughters and four sons, Samuel J. of Howe, Ind., Ella, Mrs. Jancey Kauffman, Barbara, Mrs. Freeman Miller, Anna, Mrs. Walter Gerber, Ruby, Mrs. Wayne Stopher and Darlene, Mrs. John Ray Miller, all from LaGrange, Ind., Clara, Mrs. Willard Gerber of Shipshewana, Ind., Paul and Ray of Sturgis, Mich. and Guy of Three Rivers, Mich.; 34 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Susan Schrock of Shipshewana, Ind. and Mrs. Barbara Sommers of Sugarcreek, Ohio; many nieces and nephews and other friends. One infant daughter preceded her in death.
