Indiana Farmer Is Fatally Injured in Highway Accident

DAN J. MILLER DIES TWO HOURS AFTER BEING STRUCK BY CREAM TRUCK

Topeka, Indiana. — Friends of Dan J. Miller were deeply shocked at hearing he was fatally injured when struck by a New Paris cream truck while crossing the highway near his home.

Funeral services held on Saturday Feb. 13, were attended by a large crowd of friends and relatives.

Mr. Miller was crossing the road intending to join his son Jonathan who was waiting for him with a hay baler. The accident happened at nine o'clock in the morning and Mr. Miller died two hours later in a local hospital where he was rushed after his injury.

He is survived by his deeply bereaved wife, four sons and four daughters, all at home, and three brothers and one sister.
