Amish Deacon Follows Father in Death

Haven, Kan. — Friends from a number of eastern states came here to attend funeral services for Albert E. Miller, 52, deacon in the Amish church who died unexpectedly on Aug. 9.

Mr. Miller was convalescing at home from a leg fracture sustained in a plowing accident when fatally stricken. It is believed a blood clot caused his death. Less than three weeks earlier his father, Enos E. Miller of Topeka, Ind. was called away in death. He also was a deacon in the Amish church.

Surviving Albert Miller are his wife, the former Edna Yoder, and a number of children. He was ordained at the age of 24.
