MRS. MARIE REGINA MIELKE

Mrs. Mielke (nee Marie Mueller) passed away on December 24, 1966, at the Kelowna (B.C.) General Hospital at the age of 84. Born in South Russia she became a member of the Mennonite Brethren church there, moved to Herbert, Saskatchewan in 1907 and married the late Julius Mielke in 1908. They came to Kelowna for retirement where Mrs. Mielke joined and attended the Mennonite Brethren church. Funeral services were held in Days Funeral Parlor with Rev. John Stoesz officiating. Left to mourn are twelve children: Helen (Mrs. Binder) of Kelowna, Alvina (Mrs. H. Miller) of Lulu Island, B.C., Otto of Williams Lake, B.C., Bill of 100 Mile House, B.C., Jake of Port Moody, B.C., Mary (Mrs. Pierson) of Vancouver, Jesse (Mrs. Schmidt) of Kelowna, Clara (Mrs. Braun) of Kelowna, Louise (Mrs. Niel) of Westbank, B.C., Peter and Richard of Vancouver, Olga (Mrs. Pengman of Campbell River. Mr. Mielke, one daughter, Martha and two sons, Henry and John predeceased her.
