Mother of Missionaries Dies in Michigan

Belleville, Pa. — Word was received here that Mrs. Ezra Mayer, 79, a native of this community and mother of two missionaries, died Jan. 8 at Pigeon, Mich. from complications after fracturing a hip.

Mrs. Mayer was the former Anna Byler of this place. Her husband died in 1966. Among five surviving children are Mrs. John R. (Lucille) Wenger, missionary to Israel; Miss Verda Wenger, medical worker at Puerto Viejo de Limon, Costa Rica under the Conservative Mennonite Mission Board; and Rev. Willard Mayer of Irwin, Ohio.
