Jim Matiko, 68

Jim Matiko was born on April 1, 1893, and passed away on the morning of Feb. 2, 1962, in Saskatoon. He came to Canada from Russia in March, 1912. He began farming at Arelee in 1918 and retired in November, 1961, taking up residence in Saskatoon. On April 25, 1920, he married Oxuta Kowalenko. This union was blessed with ten children. He was baptized and received into the fellowship of the church at Arelee on July 12, 1920. He was its faithful and active supporter and member until his death. He leaves to mourn his wife, 3 sons, 5 daughters, 4 sons-in-law, 3 daughters-in-law, 7 grandchildren. A brother and 2 sisters are in Russia.
