Three-Year-Old Girl Dies Under Wagon

Ephrata, Pa. — Funeral services were held at the Weaverland Mennonite Church Oct. 17 for three-year-old Elva Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel H. Martin of the Terre Hill community who was instantly killed when she fell under the wheels of a loaded corn wagon.

It was reported the little girl was riding on the load of corn, which was being pulled by a tractor driven by her father on the Martin farm. She apparently lost her balance and fell, one of the wagon wheels passing over her head.

Surviving in addition to the parents are nine brothers and sisters, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Zimmerman of Leola and Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Martin of Churchtown, and a great-grandfather, Frank Nolt.
