• Isaac K. Martens, 68, of Newton died June 25 at the Halstead hospital. A native of the Inman community, he was a retired farmer and had worked for a time as a maintenance man at Bethel College. He was a member of the Meridian Baptist Church in Newton, where the funeral was conducted Thursday afternoon. Rev. Ted Roth of Whitewater officiated. Surviving are Mrs. Martens, the former Susie Adrian, of the home; three sons, Rev. Jerroll of Valley Falls, Roger of Kansas City, Mo., and Richard of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Larry Stucky of Denver; six grandchildren; four brothers, George and Ed, both of Inman, John of Hutchinson, and Pete of Portland, Ore.; and three sisters, Mrs. H. D. Ensz and Mrs. Aaron Nikkle, both of Inman, and Katherine Martens of Phoenix, Ariz.
