Hutterite Youth Dies in Tractor Accident
Steinbach, Man. — Injuries received in a tractor accident Aug. 16 proved fatal for a Suncrest Hutterite Colony boy, who was pronounced dead on arrival at Steinbach’s Bethesda Hospital.
The victim, 14-year-old Paul Maendel, was pinned under a tractor along with another brother when the vehicle flipped over. The brother, John, was listed in fair condition. Another younger brother who had also been riding on the tractor was thrown clear.
