— A serious accident last Wednesday afternoon at Seventh and Main just a few steps north of the herald office, resulted in the death of Mrs. Anna Lupfer of East Sixth street that Thursday evening. Mrs. Lupfer was struck by an automobile at the street intersection and evidently suffered a skull fracture in addition to a seriously lacerated arm and much loss of blood. her arm was immediately amputated at the Axtell christian hospital where an unsuccessful attempt was made to save her life.
