Berne Librarian, Civic Leader Dies

Berne, Ind. — Curl E. Luginbill, 60, librarian of the Berne Public Library and executive secretary of the local Chamber of Commerce, died at his home here July 2. Death was caused by cancer of the liver.

A native of this community, Mr. Luginbill was active in business and civic affairs for many years. He was a former president of the Indiana Library Assn., and was well known as a musician in both vocal and instrumental groups. He was an active member of the First Mennonite Church, where he taught a Sunday school class for many years.

The funeral was conducted at the First Church on Sunday afternoon, with Rev. Gerald Stucky officiating.
