A SAD FATAL AUTO ACCIDENT

Another innocent child has succumbed to the destructive auto. On Wednesday, September 3, little Willie Lohrenz, son of Rev. J. W. Lohrenz, Pastor of the Pretty Prairie Mennonite church was on his way home from the third day at school, going afoot on a country road. When an auto came tearing down the road the child attempted to cross the road, but was caught by the car and flung to the ground so violently that the skull was broken He was at once taken to the Kingman Hospital, however nothing could be done for him He was unconscious from the beginning, and died about 10:30 P. M. that evening.

Willie was born at Halbstadt S. Russia on April 6, 1923. With his parents he came to Canada in 1924. A year later Rev. Lohrenz having received a call as pastor to the Pretty Prairie church, the family removed to that place.

The funeral occurred on September 7th from the Pretty Prairie church.
