MANITOBA PIONEER DIED AT 80
Rosenfeld, Manitoba. — Final services took place at the Rudnerwiede church here on Jan. 15 for John Loewen, well-known pioneer of this district who passed away on Jan. 11. The services were in charge of Rev. P. D. Berg.
The deceased was born in Russia on Sept. 4, 1866, and came to Canada in 1876. He had resided in this district since 1903.
The widow, Helena, six sons, three daughters, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.
