MINISTER OF MANITOBA BERGTHALER CHURCH FOR 32 YEAS PASSED AWAY

Rosenfeld, Manitoba. — Funeral services were conducted at the Altona Bergthaler church on Thursday, October 30, for Rev. John D. Loeppky, 62. Bishop David Schultz officisated.

Rev. Loeppky passed away at his farm home near here on Monday, Oct. 27, after suffering with cancer for more than a year. He was the son of Rev. and Mrs. Dietrich Loeppky and like his father, served as a minister of the Mennonite Bergthaler church of Manitoba. He answered the call to the ministry in 1915.

He is survived by his widow; one son, Cornelius of Plum Coulee; and two daughters, Anne Penner, R.N., missionary in India, and Mary, Mrs. Jacob Penner, of Morden.
