MRS. MARY A. LITWILLER

Mrs. Mary A. Litwiller of Hopedale, Ill. died Tuesdday, Jan. 2, in the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Nancy Springer near Delaven [sic Delavan], Ill. She had been ill for the past two years.

Mrs. Litwiller was born at Crawford, Ill. on August 14, 1876, a daughter of Joseph and Elsie Witmer Wittrig. her husband, Jacob, died 15 years ago.

Mrs. Litwiller was a charter member of the Boynton Mennonite Church near Hopedale and served many years as a Sunday school teacher. She was a faithful member and always willing to give her service where needed.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Nafziger of Goshen, Ind., Mrs. Nettie Graham of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Emma Menner of North Aurora; five sons, William and Arthur of Milledgeville, Ill., Dr. Otto of Peoria, Roy of Greenview and Lester of Decatur; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Unzicker of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Emma Preheim of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Nettie Preheim of Huxley, S. D., and Mrs. Fannie Zehr of Wayland, Iowa. A son, Howard, five sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Hopedale Mennonite Church with Rev. H. E. Nunemaker and Rev. Ivan Kauffman officiating. Interment was in the Mennonite cemetery at Hopedale.
