MRS. MURRAY LISTER

Ella Anne (Klassen) Lister of Blenheim, Ont., passed away on December 11 at the age of 40. Her high school days were spent at Eden Christian College, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and her chums will remember her as "friendly, smiling Ella." An only child of John and Anna Klassen of Leamington, she also went on to Nurses Training at Grace Hospital of Windsor, graduating in 1954. On the profession of her faith in Christ Jesus, she was baptized at the Leamington Mennonite Brethren Church in 1946.

Ella married Murray Lister on April 23, 1960 and moved to Blenheim, joining the Baptist Church there. She was deeply interested in the Lord's work, taught a ladies' Bible study, was active in the mission circle and had a burden for lost souls. She entered the general hospital (where she also worked part-time) in May, 1971. Despite the presence of cancer, she enjoyed the summer at home. She spent much time in fellowship with the Lord and remarked to others of the intimacy she enjoyed with her Lord and that his will was hers. She entered the hospital again on October 24 and passed into the presence of God on December 11.

She is survived by her husband, Murray; two sons, Bradley 10 and Brent 7; and her father, John P. Klassen, of Leamington. She was predeceased by her mother in 1945. Rev. David Derksen ministered at the funeral.
