Memorial services for J. Willard Linscheid, 68, of North Newton, were held March 23 at Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton, with Darrell Fast officiating. The burial was private. He died March 20 at his home. He taught 39 years at Goessel High School and was a long-time Goessel resident, moving to Newton in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Ruth C. (Duerksen); three sons, David A. of Newton, John M. Linscheid of Philadelphia and Steven K. of Washington, D. C.; two sisters, Katherine Weaver of Elgin, Ill., and Marjorie Isaak of Sellersville, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
