Goshen, Ind. — A heart attack suffered while repairing the roof of the Goshen Churn and Ladder Co. on Goshen's east side proved fatal to Peter Leichty, 71, on July 3.
The Goshen fire department's snorkel unit was used to lower Mr. Leichty to the ground, and he was dead on arrival at the hospital.
The funeral was conducted July 5 at the Clinton Frame Mennonite Church near here. A carpenter all his life, Mr. Leichty moved here from Leo, Ind. 13 years ago.
