New York Youth Dies Of Injuries Suffered When hit by Car

Lowville, N. Y. — Roger B. Lehman, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lehman of rural Lowville died Jan. 29 at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, new York, of injuries sustained when he was struck by a car in front of the Lehman farm on Route 12 on Jan. 23.

Roger and his father had gone to aid a motorist during a blinding snowstorm when Roger was struck by a car operated by Charles W. Locke, Watertown. He suffered head injuries and was treated at Lewis County General Hospital and later transferred to Watertown.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon, Feb. 1, at the First Mennonite Church, New Bremen, Rev. Abram Clemens, pastor, officiated. Spring burial will be in the church cemetery.

Besides his parents he is survived by a sister, brother and a foster sister. He was born Dec. 23, 1954, the son of Kenneth and Cleo Yousey Lehman, and was a freshman at Lowville Academy and Central School. He had worked with his father on the family farm.

He was a member of the First Mennonite church of New Bremen and the Mennonite Youth Fellowship.
