REUBEN R. LEHMAN

Reuben R. Lehman, son of Peter A. and Barbara Baumgartner Lehman, was born northeast of Kidron, Ohio on Aug. 13, 1882. He died at his home near Kidron on Sept. 29, 1964, at the age of 82 years, one month and 16 days.

On Oct. 31, 1907, he was united in marriage to Anna B. Hofstetter. To this union were born four children: Cora (Mrs. Harvey D. Miller) of Kidron, Esther (Mrs. Levi Lehman) of Kidron, Frieda, employed in the Memorial Home at Bluffton, Ohio, and Calvin Lehman of Dalton, Ohio.

His wife Anna passed away on Dec. 30, 1921. On Dec. 28, 1926, he was united in marriage to Leah Zuercher, who survives him. To this marriage were born the following children: Ellis Lehman of Dalton, Anna Marie Lehman of the home, Olen Lehman, who died in an automobile accident on June 20, 1952, and Lloyd Lehman of Dalton.

A sister Ella (Mrs. Amos A. Nussbaum) and a granddaughter, Junior Lehman, also preceded him in death.

In addition to his wife, sons and daughters, he is survived by one brother, Waldo E. Lehman of Apple Creek, Ohio; three sisters, Lavina Lehman of Orrville, Ohio, Sarah (Mrs. Aldis Gerber) and Anna (Mrs. Ivan Gerber) of Dalton; and eight grandchildren.

On April 15, 1900, Reuben was baptized, signifying his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Kidron Mennonite Church, where he was faithful to his Lord until the time of his death. He enjoyed this life to the full, but frequently spoke of his willingness to go to the place of eternal life.
