Berne, Ind. — Funeral services for Rev. Menno M. Lehman, 85, retired minister of the General Conference Mennonite Church, were held May 6 at Olympia, Wash., it was learned here by his half-sister, Mrs. Jacque L. Westrich.
Rev. Lehman was a native of this community. He attended Tri-State Normal at Angola, Ind., Bethel College (Kansas), and Bluffton College (Ohio) from which he graduated. He was a teacher and pastor in the United States and Canada, formerly serving the First Mennonite Church of Monroe, Wash.

REV. M. M. LEHMAN
Rev. Menno M. Lehman, 85, of Olympia, Washington died on Friday, May 2. Death was due to a heart ailment.
Rev. Lehman was a native of Berne, Ind. As a young man he taught in the rural schools of the Berne community. He was a graduate of Bluffton College and the Mennonite Seminary at Wadsworth, Ohio.
He served as a minister in General Conference Mennonite churches both in the United States and Canada. He had retired from the ministry a number of years ago, and was ill for several years during which time one of his legs was amputated.
Rev. Lehman was born on Nov. 20, 1883, the son of Abraham S. and Marianna Sprunger Lehman. He was married to Catherine Wiebe of Drake, Sask., who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Russell (Leona) Ward of Olympia, Wash., Mrs. Clifton (Betty) Perkins of Mayville, N. D., Mrs. Ben (Vernell [sic Vernelle]) Harder of Watertown, Minn., and Mrs. Alfred (Carol) Lowen of Seattle, Wash.; and 20 grandchildren.
The last surviving member of his parental family is a half-sister, Mrs. Jacque L. (Martha Franz) Westrich of Berne, Ind.
Brothers and sisters who preceded him in death were William, Simeon, David, Joel, Otto B. Lehman, and Amos in infancy, Mrs. Emil (Katherine) Franz, and Mrs. Calvin (Barbara) Liechty. Deceased step-brothers and step-sisters were Dr. Ernest, Emil and Otto Franz and Mrs. Peter E. (Julia) Habegger.
