Well Know [sic] Educator Called Away in Death at Geneseo, N. Y.

DR. CLARENCE O. LEHMAN PRESIDENT POTSDAM TEACHERS COLLEGE, DIED OCT. 22

West Liberty, Ohio. — Word has been received here of the death of Dr. Clarence O. Lehman, a former high school teacher in this city, who died Monday, October 22, in Geneseo, New York.

He was president of the Potsdam State Teachers college, having retired only two months ago because of ill health.

Dr. Lehman, a native of Berne, Ind., received his early education there and in 1916 graduated from Bluffton College. Other schools which he attended were Chicago University, Ohio State University and St. Lawrence University.

He is survived by his wife (Carol Betzner) and daughter Marjorie Jean, who now is a student in Yale University School of Nursing Administration. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Lehman of Berne. His late father preceded him in death several years ago.

Dr. Lehman has not only served as an instructor in various schools but also as lecturer at teachers' institutes and conferences.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, October 24, at the Presbyterian church of Geneseo.
