MRS. NOAH A. LEHMAN

Mrs. Anna Lehman, aged 78, wife of Noah A. Lehman, 451 East Van Buren street, Nappanee, Ind., died at 5 a. m. Friday, March 15, in her home after an illness of some years.

She was born in Clinton township, Elkhart county, Indiana, March 28, 1867, the daughter of Abe and Fanny Garber, and was married to Mr. Lehman Feb. 21, 1893, near Goshen. She had resided in Nappanee for many years.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Becknell and Mrs. Emmanuel E. Meyer, Washington, D. C.; a son, Stanley W. Lehman, New York city; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Smeltzer, Bremen, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Nappanee at the First Mennonite church, of which she was a life-long member, on Monday afternoon, March 18. Rev. J. J. Entz officiated at the services.

Mrs. Lehman and her husband had the joy of seeing their sn Stanley (business man in the Philippines) return home last year after release from a Japanese internment camp. Mr. Lehman is a retired undertaker and furniture merchant of Nappanee.
