Widow of Berne Pastor Dies at Age 93
Berne, Ind. — Death claimed one of the oldest residents of this community with the passing on Jan. 3 of Mrs. Anna Lehman, 93, widow of Rev. Joel Lehman of Berne.
Mrs. Lehman was born near here and spent most of her life in this community. For 12 years she resided at Dalton, Ohio while her husband served as pastor of the Bethel Mennonite Church. She had remained active until suffering a stoke of paralysis on Nov. 17, 1960.
Surviving in the immediate family are four sons, three daughters, eight grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Jan. 6 at the First Mennonite Church, with her pastor, Rev. Gordon Neuenschwander, officiating.
