Dies Unexpectedly While On Business Trip

Berne, Ind. — Funeral services for Alfred Lehman, 63, maintenance supervisor for Meshberger Brothers Stone Company here and a lifelong resident of this community, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church.

Mr. Lehman died unexpectedly in a heart attack March 13 at Grinnell, Iowa, where he had gone to replace a motor in one of the stone firm's trucks. He and Mrs. Lehman, who accompanied him on the trip, were preparing to enter a restaurant for the noon meal when he slumped over and died.

Born here in 1899, he was married in 1921 to Lorena Nussbaum, who survives with their two sons and four grandchildren, as well as six brothers and two sisters.
