Minister and Wife Struck By Auto

MRS. ANNA E. LEAMAN OF YORK, PA. DIED OF FRACTURED SKULL

Lancaster, Penn. — Word was received here of a fatal accident near York, Penn. which claimed the life of Mrs. Anna E. (Kling) Leaman, 68, wife of Rev. H. Frank Leaman, pastor of the Zion Mennonite Church there.

It was reported that Mrs. Leaman and her husband were crossing the street from their home to the church to attend a prayer meeting when they were struck by a car driven by a 22-year-old York motorist. Mrs. Leaman suffered a fractured skull, and her husband had a broken shoulder.

Funeral services were conducted at the Zion church, of which she was a member.

Mrs. Leaman, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Eby) Kling, was born at Intercourse, Lancaster County. Her husband formerly served as pastor of Mennonite churches in Lancaster county.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters; 16 grandchildren; a brother, Willis E. Kling of Paradise, and a sister, Mrs. Martin Diller of intercourse.
