Johann J. Langemann

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Can.—Word has been received in Newton of the death of Johann J. Langemann, 95, a former Newton resident. He died Friday, May 14, at Donwood Manor in Winnipeg.

Services were in the Elm Creek Mennonite Brethren Church at Winnipeg with burial in the church cemetery.

He was born in Spat, Crimea, South Russia. He married Gertrud Janzen. She died in 1940. He married Gertrud Wiebe in 1946. She survives.

Other survivors include four sons, John of Morden, Manitoba, Dietrich of Fannystelle, Manitoba, Jacob of Winnipeg, and Ernst of Burnaby, British Columbia; and two daughters, Elizabeth Friesen of St. Anne, Manitoba, and Gertrude Penner of Winnipeg. All of the above also are former Newton residents. One daughter, Annamarie, died and is buried in Newton.
