Retired Businessman Dies at Age 71
Souderton, Pa. — Alvin M. Landis, prominent Souderton merchant, died recently at Allentown General Hospital. He was 71.
Landis retired last June after 47 years in the upholstery and furniture trade here. He was founder of the Alvin M. Landis Retail Furniture Business, selling the establishment to his son Alvin, Jr. on his retirement.
A lifelong resident of Bucks County, Landis was a member of the Blooming Glen (Pa.) Church.
