90 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER PASSED AWAY
Elverson, Pa. — Grandmother Susanna Kurtz, 90 year old widow of Abraham Kurtz, died her Wednesday, Dec. 22, after a short illness.
Grandmother Kurtz was a great-great-granddaughter of Jacob Yoder born in Pennsylvania on Sept. 21, 1742, and whose body lies interred on the farm of Bishop Samuel M. Stoltzfus. The Berks county Historical Society, Reading, Pa., is in possession of a Yoder Bible dating back to 1530.
