COLUMBIANA, OHIO

August 25, 1969

. . .

Elmert Kurtz died suddenly of a heart attack on Aug. 7 while putting bales of straw into the barn. He leaves his wife, the former Henrietta Luplow; one daughter Martha Jarvis of Magadore, Ohio; two sons, David and James, of Columbiana. Funeral services were held at the Midway Mennonite Church on Sunday, Aug. 10, in charge of Paul Yoder, assisted by David Weaver.

Mrs. Jacob Huebert passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 16, following a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been confined to the hospital three days. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Mary Catherine, at home; three sons, Roderick of Davenport, Ia., James of Wadsworth, O., and John at home; three granddaughters; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin C. Lehman of North Lima; five sisters and one brother, Mrs. Paul Yoder of Columbiana, Wilma Lehman of North Lima, Mrs. Paul E. Yoder of Goshen, Ind., Mrs. Henry Schmucker of Canton, O., John E. Lehman of Elkhart, Ind. and Mrs. Albert Miller of Akron, Pa.

Funeral services were held at the Midway Mennonite Church with Richard Bartholomew, pastor of the North Lima Church, in charge assisted by Paul Yoder, brother-in-law of Mrs. Huebert. Her passing was the second sudden death in the Midway congregation in nine days' time. It again made us all more fully aware that we have no abiding place here. Correspondent.
