Long-Time Resident Of Weatherford Dies

Weatherford, Okla. — Funeral services for Mrs. J. F. (Nellie) Kroeker, 70, a lifetime resident of this area, were held Jan. 23 at the Mennonite Brethren Church of Corn, Okla. with Rev. Albert Epp, pastor, and Rev. Robert Hammons, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Clinton, officiating.

Mrs. Kroeker died Jan.20 in a Clinton hospital. She was born southwest of Weatherford on July 6, 1900, attended the Enterprise School and also the Corn Bible Academy for two years.

She was a telephone operator in Corn for a time. Her marriage to Mr. Kroeker took place on April 18, 1920. They resided in the Colony area until 1950 when they moved to Weatherford. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April 1970. She was a past president of the American War Mothers and was secretary-treasurer until her health failed.
