Mrs. John T. Kroeker

Inman, Kan., Jan. 11 — Mrs. John T. Kroeker, nee Kathtarina [sic Katharina] Hildebrand, was born on Oct. 18, 1890, near Inman, Kansas. In the year 1909 she was converted and baptized uniting with the Zoar church of which she remained a faithful member until the end. On March 10, 1910, she was united in marriage with John T. Kroeker and their wedded life was a duration of nearly 19 years. To this union four children were born, 2 sons and 2 daughters, of which one son died in infancy.

Mrs. Kroeker had been ailing for seven years with dropsy and endured a great deal of suffering. In June 1928 she underwent an operation but the much desired results for the better were not in evidence. On Sunday, Dec. 30, she suffered a stroke of paralysis which left her in a very serious condition. She passed away on Jan. 2, 1929, 5:30 A. M. at the age of 38 years, 2 months and 15 days. She leaves to mourn her too early departure her husband, one son, two daughters, father, one brother, two sisters and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted in the Zoar Church on Tuesday afternoon. Rev. John Esau officiated and was assisted by Rev. Cor. Thiessen and Rev. Klaas Kroeker. The church choir under the leadership of Jacob J. Klassen rendered a number of beautiful selections during the services. D. C. Pauls spoke at the cemetery. — Inman Review.
