MRS. HELEN KROEKER

It pleased the Lord to take Helen Kroeker (nee Siemens) of Coaldale, Alta, from her vale of darkness into his eternal light on July 24. She was born on January 3, 1895 in Ladekopp, South Russia. In 1916 she was married to George Kroeker who preceded her in death in December, 1965. God gave to their union four sons and three daughters.

In 1921 she accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized and joined the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church. The family emigrated to Canada in 1926. After taking up residence in Coaldale they became members of the MB Church. A diabetes patient, Mrs. Kroeker spent the last seven years of her life in blindness.

The funeral was held in the Coaldale Church on July 30. Ministering at the funeral and graveside service were A. P. Regier, D. J. Pankratz and H. H. Kornelson.

Left to mourn are three sons and two daughters; three daughters-in-law and one son-in~law; 18 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Three brothers and two sisters also survive Mrs. Kroker.
