Death Claims Lancaster County Ministers

SERVICES HELD FOR BISHOP G. PARKE BOOK & MIN. FRANK KREIDER

Lancaster, Pa. — Two ordained men of Lancaster Conference area were called away in death within recent days.

Bishop G. Parke Book, 77, died at his home in Soudersburg after a long illness. He was ordained to the ministry in 1938 and as a bishop in 1946, serving the Paradise and Hershey District. He was also a former chairman of the Lancaster Mennonite School Board. Funeral services were held at the Paradise Mennonite Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marjorie Kreider, four children and 18 grandchildren.

Rev. Frank Kreider, 88, died at the home of his son, Ammon Kreider, on Route 3, Lancaster, after being ill only two weeks. Funeral services were conducted at the East Petersburg Mennonite Church, where he served as minister for about 50 years. Surviving are four sons and 23 grandchildren.
