MRS. WALTER KREHBILL

Alma Marie Krehbiel, only daughter of William J. and Lydia K. Krehbiel, was born on Dec. 7, 1884, at Moundridge, Kansas, and passed away on Feb. 14, 1951, at Graham hospital at 8:55 a. m. after one week of serious illness at the age of 66 years, two months and seven days.

She spent her childhood at Moundridge, Kansas and at the age of 11 years came with her parents to Donnellson, Iowa where she grew to young womanhood.

On Sept. 11, 1898, she was baptized on her confession of faith by Rev. Christian Showalter and became a member of the Zion Mennonite church of which she was an active and faithful member till the time of her death.

She also was an active member of the women’s missionary society, and of the ladies’ adult Sunday school class.

On Jan. 17, 1914, she was united in marriage to Walter D. Krehbill. They shared life's joys and sorrows for 37 years. This union was blessed with two sons and three daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her husband and the following children: Roy W. of Montrose, Arlo J. of Donnellson, Celia M. Boltinghouse of Leon, Ethel M. and Nellie Ruth at home; also two daughter-in-law, Hilda and Jane; one son-in-law, Gail Boltinghouse; four grandchildren, Jerry, Bette and Dorothy Krebill and Cynthia Boltinghouse.

Funeral services were held in Zion Mennonite church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. E. S. Mullet of Wayland, Iowa, and Rev. Elmer Basinger.

Mrs. Ernest Krehbiel and Mrs. Frank Gaylord Sang “Abide With Me” and ‘‘Asleep in Jesus,” accompanied by Miss Hilda Krehbiel.

The body was laid to rest in the Mennonite cemetery, the following being pallbearers: Roy J. Lowenberg Sr., Edward Weber, Wilmer Galle, Edgar Weber, Harry J. Krebill and Harold Krehbiel.

Among the relatives from a distance attending the services were Mrs. Harold Bindschadler, Laramie, Wyo.; Miss Geraldine Krebill, Quincy, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bryant and daughters, Red Oak; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Krehbiel, Mrs. Lydia Krehbiel, New London; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hohl, Keosauqua; Willis Hohl and Edward Weber, Argyle; Wilmer Galle, Montrose.
