• Funeral services for John P. Krehbiel, 71, well-known retired Moundridge businessman, were held Monday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church there, with Rev. James Gingerich officiating. Mr. Krehbiel died March 14 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. He operated the Krehbiel Hardware Store and the International Harvester Farm Machinery dealership in Moundridge for more than 40 years. He was a former city council member and mayor of Moundridge, and served on the board of the McPherson County Hospital. His wife, the former Leona Stucky, died Jan. 16 of this year. Surviving are a son, James, of Charleston, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Collins of Fergus Falls, Minn. and Mrs. Joyce Deforest of Peabody; his mother, Mrs. Jacob P. Krehbiel of Moundridge; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Stevenson of Albany, N. Y., Mrs. Thelma Adams of Bethesda, Md. and Mrs. Ruth Gailor of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Lee of Moundridge and Mario of McPherson.
