— Mrs. Fannie C. Krehbiel, widow of Christian Krehbiel and long-time resident of the Pretty Prairie community, died early Monday at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital after being seriously ill for two weeks. Born in Russia on July 17, 1868, Mrs. Krehbiel recently observed her 90th birthday. For the past five years she had resided at the Bethel Home for Aged. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday forenoon at the First Mennonite Church of Pretty Prairie, of which she was a member. Dr. H. G. Nyce of Newton officiated. Survivors include three sons, E. D. Krehbiel of Hutchinson, G. H. Krehbiel of Olathe, Kan. and Fred H. Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie; one daughter, Mrs. J. J. Kaufman of Newton; a foster daughter, Mrs. Joe Wenzel of Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
