FRANK KRAHN

Frank Krahn was born to Henry and Maria Krahn on August 28, 1918 in Russia. He came to Canada with his parents in November, 1923 and followed them as they took up farming, first at Lucky Lake, then Gilroy and finally Glenbush, Sask. When they later moved to Abbotsford, B.C., in 1937, he also followed them there. He came to see his need of the Saviour through the positive influence of his parents and came to full assurance of salvation an early age. In August 18, 1940 he was baptized by Rev. A. D. Rempel and accepted into the South Abbotsford MB Church. He loved the church and willingly accepted responsibilities in it.

He was married on October 4, 1941 by Rev. Jacob Thiessen and went on to a farm of his own. He loved farming and pursued it as his occupation throughout the rest of his life.

He passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on April 28 after some sixteen months of illness. He leaves to mourn his passing, his bereaved wife, Martha; children, Len and Grace Krahn, Gerry and Maryanne Klassen, Vic and Charlotte Hiebert, and three grandchildren, all of the Abbotsford area; three brothers, Henry and family of Fresno, Calif., Jack and family of North Vancouver, Dr. John and family of Singers Glen, Va.; four sisters, Tina (Mrs. David) Friesen, Abbotsford, Agnes (Mrs. Jake) Falk, Clearbrook, Mary (Mrs. Les) Schmnidt Vancouver and Lydia (Mrs. Ernest) Dyck, Ste. Therese, Quebec.

The funeral was conducted from the South Abbotsford Church on May 1 with Rev. David Nickel and Rev J. J. Stobbe ministering.
