WELL-KNOWN STEINBACH, MANITOBA HISTORIAN AND WRITER DIES

Steinbach, Man. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here April 9 for G. G. Kornelsen, 79, lifelong resident of this community and well-known writer and Mennonite historian.

A retired teacher, Mr. Kornelsen spent much of his life collecting historical data about the Mennonites of southern Manitoba. He was a long-time contributor to the German publication, “The Steinbach Post.”
