PNEUMONIA ATTACK RESULTS IN DEATH OF MRS. ELBERT KOONTZ OF DAYTON, OHIO

Mountain Lake, Minn., March 4. — Funeral services for Mrs. Elbert Koontz, 25, were held from the Bethel church Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Koontz, a daughter of Mrs. P. R. Schroeder, died very suddenly at Dayton, Ohio Friday evening.

Stricken with pneumonia, Mrs. Koontz passed away about an hour after she had been admitted to a Dayton hospital. She had been ill only a day or two prior to her death.

Born August 25, 1917 at Berne, Ind., she was the third daughter of Rev. and Mrs. P. R. Schroeder.

On July 28, 1942, she married Elbert Koontz and moved to Dayton, Ohio, where her husband is a divinity student at Bonebrake Theological seminary. Besides her homemaking duties in Dayton, she found time to work in the office of an institution for the training of handicapped people. o She and her husband also served a small student pastorate there. She and her husband had hoped to serve in the African mission field after his ordination.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves her husband Elbert Knootz [sic Koontz] of Bonebrake Seminary, Dayton, Ohio; her mother, Mrs. P. R. Schroeder of Mountain Lake, Minn.; her sisters, Mrs. George Dehnert of Lodi, Wis., and Mrs. O. A. Waltner of Champa, C. P., India, with their husbands, and Esther Ruth Schroeder of North Newton, Kansas. — Mountain Lake Observer.
